MG RX9 Hybrid Arrives in Egypt with Seven Seats and 1100 km Range
Mansour Automotive, the local distributor of MG, has officially revealed the long-awaited MG RX9 Hybrid in the Egyptian market. The new model seats seven passengers and delivers a total driving range of 1,100 kilometers on a single charge. It comes with a 6-year or 150,000 km warranty, whichever comes first, giving it a solid edge in its segment.
Spacious Dimensions and Striking Exterior
Length stretches to 4,983 mm with a width of 1,967 mm and height of 1,778 mm. The wheelbase extends to 2,915 mm, directly influencing cabin roominess. Fuel tank capacity sits at 65 liters, while the rear cargo space reaches 1,026 liters. The exterior design relies on LED headlights and taillights with daytime running lights plus front and rear fog lamps. Side mirrors offer electric folding with memory, paired with dual-pane glass and tinted rear windows.
20-inch wheels boost the car's visual presence. Front and rear parking sensors with a 360-degree camera and transparent chassis make maneuvering in tight spots effortless. Automatic headlight activation adds a practical touch for drivers. Combined, these features place the RX9 ahead of many local rivals.
Hybrid Powertrain Producing 295 Horsepower
A 1.5-liter engine in the hybrid system churns out 295 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque. The 24.7 kWh battery enables a pure electric driving range of 100 kilometers. An automatic DHT gearbox delivers power smoothly. MacPherson front suspension and multi-link rear setup keep things stable across varied road conditions. Total hybrid range hits 1,100 kilometers — an impressive figure for this class.
the MG RX9 employs an advanced hybrid system balancing fuel efficiency with practical muscle. The gap between electric and combined range highlights smart energy management. These specs make it a sensible pick for daily commutes and long trips without range anxiety.
Comprehensive Safety Kit in a Single Trim
The car is available in one fully-loaded trim with front, side, and curtain airbags. The ADAS suite includes adaptive cruise control, forward and rear collision warning, plus a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert. Traffic sign recognition and lane departure warning come standard. Automatic emergency braking with lane keep assist and lane change assist with turn signals round out the package.
Electronic stability control with ABS, EBD, CBC, and ARP completes the safety net. Hill start and descent assist, tire pressure monitoring, electronic parking brake with auto hold. Auto-dimming rearview mirror are all included. An immobilizer and ISOFIX child seat anchors add peace of mind. Inside, twin 25-inch screens and tri-zone automatic climate control with rear vents dominate the cabin. This extensive equipment list gives MG genuine value for family buyers. With this launch, the brand strengthens its presence in Egypt's new car market amid fierce competition from Chery and Geely.
