MG 5 2027 Launches in Egypt with Prices Starting at EGP 925,000

MG's official distributor in Egypt, Mansour MG Automotive, has launched the MG 5 2027 model in the local market. The sedan is available in two trims, with prices starting from EGP 925,000. The Egyptian market has been waiting for an affordable compact sedan.

The price is surprising. The base trim of the MG 5 comes in at EGP 925,000, while the top trim jumps to EGP 1,025,000. That price difference reflects the gap in features between the two variants.

Engine and Performance Specs

Under the hood, the MG 5 packs a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 120 horsepower and 150 Nm of peak torque. The numbers are moderate, but they get the job done for daily city driving.

Official figures show the car consumes 5.8 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. That makes it a thrifty option at a time when fuel prices keep climbing.

Safety and Convenience Features

The MG 5 comes with a host of safety equipment, including front airbags, ABS, EBD, electronic stability program (ESP), and tire pressure monitoring. The car is ready for whatever the road throws at it.

Standard kit includes cruise control, auto halogen headlights, electrically adjustable mirrors, air conditioning, and an infotainment system with four speakers, Bluetooth, and a USB port.

Higher Trim: Extra Additions

The top trim mirrors the base model's features, then adds speed-sensitive power steering, daytime running lights, heated side mirrors, rear parking sensors, a rear camera, and a multifunction steering wheel. A smart key and leather-wrapped steering wheel round out the package.
