EIT, the official distributor of Kia in Egypt, has officially unveiled the all-new Kia PV5 electric vehicle for the first time in the local market. This launch coincides with the opening of the first dedicated electric vehicle showroom for Kia in Egypt and across Africa, underscoring the Korean automaker's commitment to expanding its footprint in the electric mobility segment.

Availability and Warranty

The Kia PV5 is offered in Egypt in a single trim level and comes with a manufacturer warranty covering 5 years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. This warranty provides added peace of mind for buyers, particularly given the vehicle's fully electric nature, which requires limited routine maintenance compared to traditional internal combustion engine vehicles.

EIT has set the official price for the Kia PV5 electric vehicle in the Egyptian market at EGP 2.5 million. This positioning places the vehicle in the upper mid-range segment of electric minivans, making it a strong contender in both the personal and commercial vehicle categories due to its versatile nature.

Powertrain Specifications

The Kia PV5 is powered by an electric motor delivering 160 horsepower and 250 Nm of peak torque, offering balanced performance suited for daily driving needs. It is equipped with a 71.2 kWh battery pack, providing a driving range of up to 412 kilometers on a single charge. The battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes when using a 150 kW fast charger. The top speed is electronically limited to 135 km/h.
