The Egyptian International Trading & Agencies Company (EIT), the exclusive distributor for Kia in Egypt, has officially launched the all-new electric Kia PV5 in the local market at a starting price of EGP 2.5 million. This launch aligns with the distributor's strategy to expand its lineup of modern electric vehicles, responding to the growing demand for eco-friendly mobility solutions in Egypt.

Performance and Electric Range Specifications

The Kia PV5 belongs to the multi-purpose electric vehicle segment, targeting a broad range of users from families to commercial operators. It is powered by an electric motor producing 160 hp (120 kW) and a peak torque of 250 Nm, delivering balanced performance suitable for daily city and highway driving. The car is equipped with a 71.2 kWh battery pack, providing a driving range of up to 412 kilometers under the WLTP cycle, while its top speed is electronically limited to 135 km/h.

Charging Capabilities and Infrastructure

The Kia PV5 supports DC fast charging at up to 150 kW, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. This feature significantly reduces downtime and enhances daily usability, especially as Egypt's charging station network continues to expand. The vehicle also includes an advanced battery thermal management system to optimize charging performance under various climatic conditions.
