Jetour X70 Plus Ignites the 7-Seat SUV Battle in Egypt
Qasrawi Group, the exclusive distributor of the Jetour brand in Egypt, has launched the Jetour X70 Plus family SUV during June, entering one of the most competitive segments in the Egyptian market: the 7-seat sports utility vehicle category.
The vehicle is offered in a single trim level called 'Luxury' at an official price of 1,250,000 Egyptian pounds, positioning it directly against a range of Japanese, Chinese, and European models that vary in equipment levels and pricing.
Key rivals to the Jetour X70 in Egypt
The Mitsubishi Xpander stands out as a prominent Japanese contender in this segment and is the most affordable new Japanese 7-seater in Egypt. It is powered by a 1.5-liter engine producing 105 hp and 141 Nm of torque, mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Prices start at 1,300,000 EGP and reach 1,475,000 EGP for the top-spec variant.
The Chevrolet Captiva enters as a notable family SUV, equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine generating 148 hp and 255 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission. Its starting price is approximately 1,200,000 EGP, making it a direct competitor in the same price bracket.
The Chery Tiggo 8 features a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 145 hp and 210 Nm of torque, with a 6-speed DCT transmission. It starts at 1,120,000 EGP for the 7-seat version, strengthening its position in the family SUV category.
The MG G50 Plus joins the competition with a 1.5-liter turbo engine delivering 170 hp and 285 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission, and is available in the Luxury trim at a price that places it in direct rivalry with the Jetour X70 Plus.
