Jetour T2 Hybrid i-DM Expected in Egypt: 600 HP and 1300 km Range

600 horsepower and a driving range of 1300 kilometers. Those are the headline figures expected from the upcoming Jetour T2 i-DM hybrid variant, which Al-Qasrawi, the local Jetour distributor, is reportedly preparing to launch in the Egyptian market soon.

Three Power Sources Under the Hood

The new version relies on an all-wheel-drive system with two electric motors alongside a traditional combustion engine. Reports point to a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with a 43 kWh battery pack. The car features a 70-liter fuel tank and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. Torque stands at 915 Nm, delivered through an automatic DHT transmission.

Current Jetour T2 in Egypt vs. The Newcoming Flagship

Today's lineup tells a different story. The Jetour T2 currently sold in Egypt comes with a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine producing 184 hp and 290 Nm via a 7-speed DCT gearbox. A separate hybrid trim uses the same turbo engine with a 26.7 kWh battery, generating 375 hp and 610 Nm through a 3-speed DHT. The gap between the existing hybrid and the incoming flagship is massive — a 225 hp jump in output.

Dimensions and Exterior Features of the T2 i-DM

The vehicle stretches 4.7 meters long, 2 meters wide. 1.8 meters tall, riding on a 2.8-meter wheelbase. Exterior equipment includes matrix LED headlights with automatic leveling and height adjustment, LED daytime running lights, illuminated Jetour lettering, front LED fog lights, and LED taillights. Power-folding side mirrors come with heating and memory functions. A panoramic sunroof, rain sensors, power tailgate, and 20-inch wheels round out the package.

Inside, a 15.6-inch infotainment display takes center stage, supported by a 540-degree surround-view camera and a 12-speaker Sony premium audio system. The cabin features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, voice control, and wireless phone charging. Drivers get multiple drive modes and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while an auto-dimming rearview mirror adds convenience. These specs position Jetour as a serious contender in the compact boxy SUV segment. That has seen growing demand in Egypt.

The wait shouldn't be long. Official pricing and trim details are expected to surface in the coming weeks. Until then, these leaked figures signal the brand's push toward higher-performance hybrid tech locally. Buyers eyeing the current T2 can still explore its existing trims.
