JAC T6 Pickup Officially Launches in Egypt with Prices Starting at EGP 795,000
The Qasrawi Group, the official distributor of JAC in Egypt, has officially introduced the all-new JAC T6 pickup truck to the local market. This launch is part of the Chinese brand's broader strategy to expand its footprint in the light and medium commercial vehicle segment, catering to a wide range of users in logistics and distribution. The new pickup is priced from EGP 795,000, positioning it as a competitive option among other pickup models currently available in Egypt.
Powertrain and Performance Specifications
The JAC T6 is powered by a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine producing 136 horsepower and a peak torque of 320 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and features direct fuel injection for improved combustion efficiency. The pickup is equipped with an independent double-wishbone front suspension and a leaf-spring rear suspension, enhancing load-carrying capability and stability on rough terrain. A robust ladder-frame chassis further supports a maximum payload capacity of 1,045 kg.
Dimensions and Load Capacity
The JAC T6 measures 5,315 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,830 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,090 mm. Its gross vehicle weight (GVW) is rated at 2,975 kg, while the maximum payload stands at 1,045 kg. These dimensions make the vehicle well-suited for light-duty transport and urban distribution, offering a balance between manoeuvrability and load capacity.
Safety Features and Standard Equipment
JAC has equipped the T6 with a range of essential safety systems, including an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), along with a front airbag for the driver and front passenger. These features aim to enhance occupant protection, particularly when driving under heavy loads or in challenging road conditions. The standard equipment list is designed to meet basic safety expectations in the pickup segment.
JAC's Broader Commercial Vehicle Lineup in Egypt
Alongside the JAC T6, the Qasrawi Group continues to offer a diverse range of trucks in the Egyptian market. This lineup includes the JAC N90L, which has a payload capacity of up to 5.5 tonnes and is designed for medium-duty transport. Also available is the N55L, with a payload of up to 3 tonnes, ideal for city-based distribution and last-mile delivery. Together, these models reflect the brand's commitment to covering both light and medium commercial vehicle needs under one umbrella.
