IM Motors’ Largest SUV Nears Egyptian Market with a Range of Up to 1,500 km
Al-Mansour Automotive is preparing for the official unveiling of the IM LS9 in the Egyptian market on July 21st, presenting the largest SUV under the luxury Chinese brand IM Motors, a subsidiary of SAIC Motor. The vehicle stands out with its extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) technology, offering exceptional driving range without range anxiety.
Full-Size SUV with Massive Dimensions
The IM LS9 belongs to the full-size SUV segment, measuring 5,279 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,806 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. These substantial dimensions place it among the most prominent models in its class, providing a spacious and roomy interior for passengers.
EREV Powertrain with Exceptional Range
The IM LS9 is powered by an EREV system, where electric motors drive the wheels exclusively, while a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine acts as a generator to recharge the battery during driving—without any mechanical connection to the wheels. The system delivers a total output of 523 horsepower and 670 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. It features a 66 kWh battery providing an all-electric range of 402 km according to the CLTC cycle, while the total driving range reaches approximately 1,500 km when using the gasoline generator.
Luxurious Cabin with Advanced Digital Features
The IM LS9 is equipped with a luxurious cabin dominated by a digital theme, featuring a 27.1-inch panoramic Mini LED display with 5K resolution stretching across the driver and front passenger, along with a separate screen for the front passenger. The cabin uses high-quality materials and premium finishes, enhancing comfort and luxury inside the vehicle. The coming days are expected to bring an official announcement from the company regarding full details and pricing in the Egyptian market.
