Hyundai Venue Locally Assembled Launches in Egypt on August 31 as Accent RB Replacement
The Egyptian automotive market will witness the official launch of the locally assembled Hyundai Venue on August 31, introduced by local distributor GB Auto. This move aligns with the company's strategy to expand local manufacturing and offer new alternatives in the economic vehicle segment, making the Venue one of the latest crossovers to enter domestic production lines.
Local Alternative to Hyundai Accent RB
According to informed sources, the Hyundai Venue will serve as the local replacement for the Hyundai Accent RB, which is set to exit the Egyptian market by the end of this year. The new model targets customers looking for a practical, compact crossover that offers fuel efficiency and easy maneuverability in city driving, making it an attractive option in the budget-friendly segment.
Engine and Performance Specifications
The Hyundai Venue is available globally with multiple engine options, most notably a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated unit. These are paired with either a manual or automatic transmission depending on the trim and market. The vehicle comes with a 45-liter fuel tank, while average fuel consumption on global variants ranges between approximately 5.5 and 6.5 liters per 100 kilometers, depending on the engine and transmission type.
Safety Features and Equipment
The Hyundai Venue is equipped with a range of safety systems, including airbags, an Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). Higher trims may also feature additional driver assistance systems, further enhancing safety and driving comfort.
The Hyundai Venue is one of the smallest crossovers offered by the Korean brand globally, making it an ideal choice for daily commuting in congested urban environments. It is expected to attract significant interest from Egyptian customers, especially given the growing market trend toward locally assembled vehicles that offer better value for money.
