Egypt's car market is eagerly awaiting the official reveal of the Hyundai Venue SUV. The vehicle is being assembled locally at the company's factories in partnership with Ghabbour Auto, the exclusive local distributor for the South Korean brand in Egypt. The official launch is expected by the end of August, according to the group's own announcement.

A Turning Point for Local Hyundai Assembly

The difference is significant. The Venue will be the first SUV carrying the Hyundai Venue badge to be assembled inside local factories, marking a strategic shift for the Korean brand in the Egyptian market. A few days ago, Ghabbour Auto began revealing key details of the highly anticipated vehicle, including the mechanical specifications that sit at the heart of buyer interest.

Power comes from a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 123 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. These figures place the vehicle in direct competition within the compact crossover segment, a category that has seen rising demand in Egypt over recent years.

Compact Design and Advanced Safety Features

The Venue is one of the smallest crossovers the Korean brand offers globally. The concept here is straightforward — a compact vehicle combining practicality with city driving ease, plus notable fuel efficiency. The dimensions confirm this approach: 3,995 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width. 1,617 mm in height, riding on a 2,500 mm wheelbase. Cargo capacity comes in at 355 liters, a reasonable number for the compact crossover class.

Inside, you get a central infotainment screen, but the bigger story is the comprehensive safety package. The list includes airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). Higher trims add Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Korean brand aims the Hyundai Venue at customers seeking a practical daily driver. Given Hyundai's track record in Egypt — with models like the Elantra and Tucson achieving wide success — expectations look positive for this new model.
