Geely selected the Egyptian market for the global debut of the all-new Monjaro EM-i hybrid. Egypt is the very first market worldwide to receive this model, a clear signal of the brand's growing commitment to local customers. The hybrid SUV arrives in four trim levels with prices starting from EGP 1,699,000 for the base Pro trim and reaching EGP 2,000,000 for the top-spec Ultra with brown leather upholstery.

Dimensions and a Design Built for Family Duty

Length measures 4800 mm, width 1895 mm. Height stands at 1700 mm, while the wheelbase stretches to 2845 mm. Ground clearance sits between 184 mm and 189 mm, giving the Monjaro enough capability for rough roads and speed bumps alike. Cargo space starts at 633 liters behind the second row and expands to 1532 liters with the seats folded flat — this is a practical proposition for a large Egyptian family. The fuel tank holds 60 liters, and total curb weight ranges from 1900 kg to 2080 kg.

Hybrid Powertrain: Twin Engines, One Smooth Mission

Power comes from a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 106 kW and 230 Nm of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard on the first two trims, while all-wheel drive is reserved for the higher two trims for extra traction and confidence. The electric motor is available in two outputs: a 120 kW unit with 343 Nm, or a more potent 200 kW version with 493 Nm. Combined system output reaches 205 kW, and total torque peaks at an impressive 667 Nm.

LFP Battery, Rapid Charging, and Impressive Combined Range

The LFP battery pack is available in two capacities: 18.4 kWh or 29.8 kWh. Fast charging at 38 kW tops the smaller pack up in 20 minutes, while a higher-speed 78 kW charger replenishes the larger unit in just 15 minutes. Home AC charging takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. Total hybrid driving range is a substantial 1095 km to 1200 km. That virtually eliminates range anxiety on long highway trips across Egypt. Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability is included for powering external electrical devices.

Fuel Economy and Acceleration in the Hybrid Segment

Combined fuel consumption sits between 5.4 and 6.2 liters per 100 km — a solid figure for a mid-size hybrid SUV. Top speed is capped at 190 km/h on lower trims and rises to 200 km/h on the range-topping versions. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.7 seconds in the base Pro. A rapid 5.8 seconds in the Ultra trim. MacPherson struts handle front suspension, with a multi-link setup at the rear, tuned to balance ride comfort and composure at highway speeds.

Interior Luxury, Safety Tech and Driver Assistance Suite

Step inside and you find full leather upholstery along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, plus a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat that has memory presets. Dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents and an air purification system keeps every passenger comfortable, while 256-color ambient lighting adds a premium atmosphere after dark. Front seats offer a massage function — a rare luxury at this price point. One-touch power windows are fitted all around. The equipment list continues with a panoramic 540-degree camera view and a 360-degree front and rear parking sensor system. Safety gear includes Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
