Geely Galaxy EX2 2026 Arrives in Egypt as the Cheapest New Electric Car in the Local Market
Geely has made a strong entry into Egypt's electric vehicle market with the launch of the all-new Geely Galaxy EX2, a compact crossover SUV. The car is being introduced by Abu Ghali Motors, the local distributor for the Chinese brand, and aims to deliver a complete electric driving experience at highly competitive prices in the local market during July 2026.
Geely Galaxy EX2 Prices in Egypt
The Geely Galaxy EX2 is available in two trim levels. The first is the PRO version, with an official starting price of 749,900 Egyptian pounds. The second, higher-specification MAX trim is priced at 849,900 pounds. With these price points, the EX2 becomes the most affordable brand-new electric car officially on sale in Egypt today.
Electric Performance and Range
The Galaxy EX2 is powered by a fully electric drivetrain that delivers quick response. It can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 130 km/h. The car features a rear-wheel-drive layout for improved stability and balance. A tight turning radius of 4.95 meters makes it easy to maneuver in narrow streets and congested urban environments.
Interior Space and Cargo Capacity
The new EX2 offers a versatile cabin with up to 36 different storage compartments. The standard trunk provides 375 liters of cargo capacity, which expands to 1,320 liters when the rear seats are folded flat. This makes the crossover suitable for daily commuting as well as long road trips. The rear seating area also offers generous legroom for passengers.
Advanced Technology and Features
The Geely Galaxy EX2 is equipped with a range of modern technology. Key highlights include a 14.6-inch central infotainment touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. The system runs on Flyme Auto software and supports wireless smartphone charging. Keyless entry and start are standard, and owners can control several vehicle functions remotely via a smart app, offering a high level of convenience and connectivity.
