New Chinese Rival: All-New GAC S7 Set for First Appearance in Egypt

Gamil Motors, the exclusive local distributor for the luxury Chinese brand GAC in Egypt, is preparing to introduce the all-new GAC S7 to the Egyptian market for the first time in the coming period. The SUV falls into the mid-size segment and represents one of the brand's latest competitive offerings.

Dimensions of the New GAC S7

The GAC S7 measures 4,900 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,880 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm, giving it a commanding road presence.

Hybrid Powertrain with Up to 501 HP

The GAC S7 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 160 hp, integrated with an advanced hybrid system and one or two electric motors depending on the trim. Globally, the SUV is available in versions delivering up to 392 hp in certain trims, while the top-performance variant boasts a total output of 501 hp with all-wheel drive, making it one of the most powerful vehicles in its class.

Driving Range Exceeding 1,100 km

One of the key strengths of the GAC S7 is its plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) system, offering an electric-only driving range of up to 205 km according to the Chinese CLTC cycle. The vehicle can also cover a total distance of approximately 1,150 km before needing to refuel or recharge.

Safety Systems in the New GAC S7

GAC has equipped its new SUV with an advanced suite of safety and driver-assistance systems, including a sophisticated intelligent driving system that operates without the need for high-definition maps, along with a LiDAR sensor and a large number of cameras and radars to monitor the road and surroundings. The vehicle also features lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, highway driving assist, and a wide range of warning systems.
