Ford Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition: A Rally-Inspired Pickup with Gold Wheels
Ford unveiled the Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition at the Paris Motor Show, featuring rally-inspired design developed with MS-RT, which is linked to the M-Sport rally team. The truck boasts 21-inch wheels, a 40mm lowered suspension, and a choice of a 240-hp 3.0-liter V6 diesel or a 281-hp plug-in hybrid. It retains a 3.5-tonne towing capacity and one-tonne payload. Orders are open, with deliveries beginning in spring 2027.
The Ford Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition made its debut at the Paris Motor Show, transforming the familiar pickup into a rally-inspired machine. Under the hood, buyers can choose a 3.0-liter V6 diesel producing 240 hp or a plug-in hybrid with 281 hp, while towing capacity stays at 3.5 tonnes. This special edition results from a collaboration between Ford and MS-RT. That is linked to the M-Sport rally team, giving the Ranger a sportier character without sacrificing its core abilities.
Exterior Design That Screams Rally
The truck looks nothing like a standard workhorse. It features a black body with gold accents, massive 21-inch alloy wheels. A suspension lowered by 40 millimeters compared to the regular model. Shock absorbers were retuned for better response and stability on paved roads. This combination makes the Ford Ranger look like it just rolled out of a race prep shop.
Pickup Capability Remains Intact
Does the sporty version sacrifice payload? The answer is no. Ford kept the towing capacity at 3.5 tonnes and a payload of up to one tonne according to European specs. That means the Ford Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition can still handle heavy work, but it offers a more engaging drive thanks to its two engine options: a 240-hp V6 diesel or a 281-hp plug-in hybrid.
Sporty Cabin with Gold Details
Inside, there's a 12-inch touchscreen, sport seats with gold stitching. A numbered plaque that marks this special edition. Driver assistance systems are also included. These touches make the Ford Ranger more upscale than standard versions. Orders are now open, with deliveries starting in spring 2027. Ford is offering a truck that keeps its traditional pickup capabilities but looks like it came straight from a racing paddock.
