Dipal S05 2027 Launches in Egypt Starting at EGP 1.599 Million
GB Auto has launched the Dipal S05 2027 in Egypt starting at EGP 1.599 million. Two powertrains are available: a full electric version with 238 hp and 460 km range, and a REEV variant with 218 hp and 1,059 km total range. The compact SUV measures 4,620 mm long with a 2,880 mm wheelbase. It's the cheapest Dipal model on sale in Egypt this October.
The Dipal S05 2027 has arrived in the Egyptian market with a starting price of EGP 1.599 million. That figure makes it the cheapest model from the Chinese brand on sale this October. Local distributor GB Auto offers it with two distinct powertrain options.
Full Electric Power in the Dipal S05
The fully electric version runs a 175 kW motor — roughly 238 hp — and 320 Nm of torque. Its claimed range hits 460 kilometres on the NEDC cycle, enough for daily driving across Egyptian cities. This segment of electric SUVs is getting crowded as more Chinese brands enter the market.
REEV Extended Range: Over 1,000 Kilometres
The second variant carries Range-Extended Electric Vehicle technology. Its electric motor produces 160 kW, or about 218 hp. With an additional generator unit, total claimed driving range reaches 1,059 kilometres on the NEDC standard. The system lets drivers rely on electric propulsion while a generator extends range, cutting down on frequent charging stops during long trips. That setup offers a middle ground for buyers wary of running out of charge on highways.
Dimensions and Interior Space of the Dipal S05
Length measures 4,620 mm, width 1,900 mm, height 1,600 mm, and the wheelbase stretches to 2,880 mm. Those figures slot it into the compact-to-midsize SUV class. At this size it competes with models like the BYD Song Plus and MG RX5 Plus in Egypt. Modern design, tech features, and driver-assist systems come as part of the package.
Offering the Dipal S05 with two electric options gives Egyptian buyers unusual flexibility. City drivers who want a pure EV get the 460-kilometre version. Those who regularly travel between governorates will lean toward the REEV model. Pricing starts at EGP 1.599 million for both, a competitive level in the electric SUV segment.
