Diamond Motors, the official distributor of Mitsubishi in Egypt and part of the Kuwaiti Al Mulla Group, has announced the start of deliveries for the first batch of the Mitsubishi Destinator to customers. The handover was marked by a special ceremony held at the company's showroom in Abu Rawash. The move follows the model's official launch in the Egyptian market in the second half of June, with deliveries commencing in July this year.

Design Inspired by Attraction and Dynamism

The Mitsubishi Destinator was developed under the "Attraction and Dynamism" design concept, featuring a front fascia with a dynamic shield similar to that of the Xforce model, while retaining most elements from the DST concept car. The front grille adopts a honeycomb pattern, while the sides showcase 18-inch alloy wheels, black pillars, and a C-pillar with a decorative insert. At the rear, the Hexaguard Horizon concept—a hexagonal design inspired by the spare tire carrier of the Pajero—is prominent, along with T-shaped front and rear lighting units.

Pricing and Trims for Every Need

The Mitsubishi Destinator is available in Egypt across three trim levels: the Midline at EGP 1,650,000, the Highline at EGP 1,750,000, and the top-spec Premiumline at EGP 1,850,000. The family-oriented multi-purpose vehicle combines modern styling with practical space and everyday usability, backed by the reliability associated with the Japanese brand. Each customer received a detailed walkthrough of the car's features during the handover event.

Engine and Drivetrain Specifications

Powering the Mitsubishi Destinator is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 161 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission driving the front wheels, ensuring smooth and efficient performance. The vehicle measures 4,680 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height, riding on a 2,815 mm wheelbase that provides generous interior space for passengers and cargo alike.

Advanced Exterior Features and Safety Equipment

Exterior highlights of the Mitsubishi Destinator include 18-inch alloy wheels available in standard or two-tone finishes, electrically folding side mirrors, full LED lighting (front, rear, and daytime running lights), and LED fog lamps. Additional features comprise roof rails, a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, rain sensors, and automatic headlights. On the safety front, the vehicle is equipped with front airbags to provide enhanced occupant protection for the driver and front passenger.
