New Cupra Formentor VZ Launches in Egypt with 2.0L Turbo Engine

Kian Egypt, the exclusive distributor of the Cupra brand in Egypt, has announced the launch of the new Cupra Formentor VZ in the local market, featuring for the first time a 2.0-liter TSI engine. This move targets performance enthusiasts and strengthens the Spanish brand's lineup in the Egyptian market, fulfilling the company's promise to introduce larger-displacement engines following the earlier launch of the 1.5-liter version earlier this year.

Engine Performance and Acceleration

The Cupra Formentor VZ is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder TSI engine, delivering 265 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission, sending power to the front wheels. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, offering a more sporty driving experience compared to the 1.5-liter version.

Sporty Equipment and Ceramic Brakes

The new variant comes equipped with several sporty features, including Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and a dual-outlet sports exhaust system. It also features high-performance ceramic brakes with Brembo copper calipers, enhancing stability and efficiency during driving. These upgrades make the Formentor VZ an attractive option for performance enthusiasts in the local market.

Aggressive Exterior Design

The Formentor VZ adopts Cupra's latest design language, featuring a more aggressive front end with a new bumper and a large grille. It comes with HD Matrix LED headlights featuring automatic high-beam dimming. The car also boasts a glowing Cupra logo at the rear, a full-width LED light bar with 3D Infinite Light technology, carbon-fiber exterior mirrors, 19-inch sport alloy wheels, and an exclusive color palette including matte finishes.

Cabin Blends Luxury with Technology

Inside, the Cupra Formentor VZ features CUP Bucket sports seats made of carbon fiber and sustainable Dinamica materials, along with a new center console with distinctive stitching. The cabin includes a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, customizable ambient lighting, a premium Sennheiser sound system with 390 watts and 11 speakers, automatic climate control, and advanced driver assistance systems. This interior offers a blend of luxury and modern technology befitting the VZ sporty trim.
