Changan Eado Plus Facelift Spotted in Egypt Ahead of Official Launch

GB Auto, the official distributor of Changan vehicles in Egypt, is preparing to unveil the facelifted version of the Changan Eado Plus in the local market for the first time. Recent sightings of the car at storage facilities belonging to the distributor indicate that the official launch is imminent.

Expanding Local Production

GB Auto aims to broaden its vehicle manufacturing footprint in Egypt in the coming period, and this could include local assembly of new models such as the updated Changan Eado Plus facelift. The move is expected to reduce the car's selling price in Egypt, enhancing its competitiveness against rivals in the same segment.

Pre-Launch Testing Underway

GB Auto is currently testing the vehicle on Egyptian roads by bringing in a limited number of units for evaluation before officially announcing its availability. This step is part of the Chinese brand's strategy to strengthen its presence in the growing Egyptian automotive market.

Technical Specifications

The new Changan Eado Plus is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 178 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to the front wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth performance and responsive acceleration.

The sedan rides on 18-inch sport alloy wheels, enhancing both stability and visual appeal. The car measures 4.77 meters in overall length, with a wheelbase of 2.76 meters, offering generous interior space for passengers. These specifications position the Eado Plus as a strong contender in the compact sedan category in Egypt.
