BYD Offers 8 Models in Egypt with Over 1,000 km Range and Up to 485 HP

Man Dream, the official local distributor of BYD in the Egyptian market, is offering a wide range of electric and plug-in hybrid models during June. The lineup includes eight different models covering various segments, from compact hatchbacks to SUVs and multi-purpose pickup trucks.

BYD's Strategy in the Egyptian Market

BYD's new lineup reflects the Chinese brand's direction toward strengthening its presence in the Egyptian market by introducing the latest electric and hybrid mobility technologies. The company focuses on long driving ranges exceeding 1,000 kilometers in some models, energy efficiency, advanced safety systems, and modern comfort features, with power reaching up to 485 horsepower in higher-performance variants.

Prices of New BYD Cars in Egypt

BYD Dolphin Surf EV

The Dolphin Surf EV 2027 model is officially priced at EGP 949,900. The BYD Dolphin Surf is powered by a 38.88 kWh lithium-ion battery paired with a 75-horsepower electric motor. It supports Type 2 AC home charging and CCS fast charging, which can recharge the battery in 30 minutes.

The five-seater car can cover up to 300 kilometers under normal driving conditions, while the range drops to 220 kilometers on highways in cold weather. Its top speed is 130 km/h.

The manufacturer places high importance on passenger safety, equipping the Dolphin Surf with advanced safety systems including tire pressure monitoring, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and multiple airbags to protect occupants in the event of a collision.
