BYD Dolphin Surf: The Cheapest Electric Vehicle in the Lineup

The number is striking. BYD Dolphin Surf delivers a complete electric package for under one million pounds, a rarity in Egypt's EV market where Chinese and European brands are locked in an increasingly fierce battle for buyers. The car targets a broad segment of motorists looking for an economical and environmentally friendly alternative, especially as traditional fuel prices continue to climb.

Technical Specs: 38.88 kWh Battery and 300 km Range

The BYD Dolphin Surf relies on a fully electric powertrain, featuring a 38.88 kWh lithium-ion battery paired with a 75-horsepower electric motor. The car supports home charging via Type 2 AC, along with CCS fast charging. That can replenish the battery in about 30 minutes. It can cover up to 300 kilometers under normal driving conditions, while range drops to around 220 kilometers on highways in cold weather, with a top speed of 130 km/h.
