Global Auto Launches All-New BMW iX3 in Egypt with 805 km Range
Global Auto Group, the official distributor of BMW in Egypt, has announced the launch of the all-new BMW iX3 for the first time in the Egyptian market. The launch event took place in front of the iconic tower in the New Administrative Capital, emphasizing the futuristic character of this fully electric vehicle, which boasts an impressive electric range of up to 805 kilometers on a single charge.
The Return of the Neue Klasse Name in Electric Form
The all-new iX3 revives the Neue Klasse nameplate, returning more than half a century after the first Neue Klasse model transformed BMW's identity in the 1960s. Today, the name returns on a fully electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) that blends the brand's rich heritage with a bold new vision, redefining the future of electric mobility.
A Symbolic Location for a Groundbreaking Model
The choice of the New Administrative Capital, specifically the iconic tower — the tallest skyscraper in Africa — was no coincidence. Just as the new capital represents one of Egypt's most ambitious urban projects and a clear symbol of looking toward the future, the BMW iX3 represents a quantum leap forward. It is the most significant new step for the German automaker in years, opening a new chapter in its history within the fully electric vehicle segment.
Global Acclaim Before Egyptian Arrival
The iX3 arrives in Egypt after winning two prestigious awards at the New York International Auto Show earlier this year: World Car of the Year 2026 and World Electric Vehicle 2026. These accolades cement the vehicle's status as one of the most important new models on the global stage, thanks to its distinctive design, advanced technologies, and exceptional driving experience.
Powerful Performance and a Massive Battery
The all-new BMW iX3 is available in Egypt in the 50 xDrive variant, featuring two electric motors on the front and rear axles with the advanced xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The powertrain delivers a maximum output of 469 horsepower and peak torque of 645 Nm. It is powered by a sophisticated 113.4 kWh battery pack, enabling an electric driving range of up to 805 kilometers — a figure that surpasses most competitors, making the iX3 equally suited for long-distance journeys and daily city commutes.
The Fastest Charging Experience Yet
The iX3 supports DC fast charging at up to 400 kW, allowing drivers to add up to 372 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes at a compatible charging station, or charge the battery from 10% to 80% in only 21 minutes. These figures make the iX3 the fastest-charging BMW electric vehicle to date. The all-new model is built on an advanced electronic and software architecture featuring four high-performance computers, enhancing its technical capabilities and user experience to unprecedented levels.
