BAW M7 Launches in Egypt: 7-Seat MPV Ready to Compete

Strada Motors, the official distributor of the Chinese BAW brand in Egypt, has launched its first model in the local market: the multi-purpose vehicle BAW M7. This MPV is set to intensify competition in the family and commercial vehicle segment, thanks to its seven-seat configuration and long wheelbase, making it an ideal choice for both families and businesses.

Engine Performance and Transmission

The BAW M7 is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine producing 142 horsepower (equivalent to 106 kW) and a peak torque of 200 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, offering balanced and fuel-efficient performance. The top speed reaches 140 km/h, and the fuel tank capacity stands at 58 liters, enhancing driving range without frequent refueling.

On the suspension front, the BAW M7 features an independent MacPherson strut front suspension, while the rear axle uses a leaf spring setup (3 leaves) to ensure robust load-carrying capability, making it suitable for both passenger and cargo transport on long journeys.

Spacious and Well-Equipped Interior

The cabin of the BAW M7 offers a unique family comfort experience with seven leather seats arranged in a 2+2+3 layout, ensuring easy access to the rear rows and passenger comfort. The driver and front passenger seats are manually adjustable in four directions, and the vehicle includes storage pockets behind the front seats and multiple storage spaces in the doors for enhanced practicality.

For infotainment, the car comes with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster that displays data clearly and supports both Arabic and English languages. It also features a 10.25-inch central touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity for calls and music, and a multifunction steering wheel for safe audio and call control. A complete sound system with woofer and tweeter speakers plus a radio is included, along with abundant USB ports covering all rows: two in the front, two in the middle row, and four in the rear row.

To ensure even distribution of cool air for all occupants, the BAW M7 is equipped with a front air conditioner, an independent rear air conditioner, and rear ventilation outlets, making long trips more comfortable and refreshing.

Safety and Security Systems

The BAW M7 comes with a comprehensive set of safety features to protect passengers, including dual front airbags for the driver and front passenger, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and disc brakes on all wheels to ensure safe and effective stopping in various conditions.
