Avatr 07 REEV to Make Official Debut in Egypt on July 17
Avatr is set to enter the Egyptian market with a significant launch, as Qasrawi Group, the official distributor of the Chinese brand, announced the official debut of the Avatr 07 REEV in Egypt on Friday, July 17. This launch marks the first appearance of a vehicle from the brand featuring a range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) powertrain in the local market, strengthening the presence of Chinese electric vehicles in Egypt.
Advanced Powertrain with Up to 500 Horsepower
The Avatr 07 REEV is equipped with an LFP battery pack with a capacity of 39.05 kWh, paired with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that acts as a generator to recharge the battery while driving, without directly driving the wheels. The vehicle falls into the mid-size SUV segment and will be available in two distinct trims.
The first trim, Luxury, features a single electric motor with rear-wheel drive, delivering 310 horsepower and 333 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, with a total driving range of up to 932 kilometers according to the NEDC standard. The second trim, Performance, comes with dual electric motors and all-wheel drive, producing a combined 500 horsepower and 595 Nm of torque, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, with a driving range of 900 kilometers. Both trims share a top speed of 180 km/h.
Mid-Size SUV Dimensions
The Avatr 07 REEV boasts dimensions typical of a mid-size SUV, measuring 4825 mm in length and 1980 mm in width. The Luxury trim stands at 1620 mm in height, while the Performance trim is slightly lower at 1610 mm, giving it a commanding road presence while maintaining dynamic proportions. Competition in Egypt's electric SUV segment is set to intensify with this new addition.
