The Egyptian automotive market witnessed the launch of several all-new vehicles for the first time in June, alongside updated versions of locally known models that received facelifts or new engines. These launches covered a wide range of manufacturers and brands, reflecting the market's dynamism and diverse consumer needs.
BMW iX3 Neue Klasse Electric Arrives in Egypt
Global Auto, the official distributor of BMW in Egypt, has introduced the all-electric BMW iX3 Neue Klasse as a 2026 model. The vehicle is offered in a single trim called 50 xDrive, equipped with a 108.7 kWh battery and a driving range of up to 805 kilometers. This variant is priced at EGP 4.9 million.
The BMW iX3 features a fully electric drivetrain representing the sixth generation of the renowned eDrive system, incorporating two electric motors with a combined output of 469 hp and 645 Nm of torque. This enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, a top speed of 210 km/h, and xDrive all-wheel drive. The battery provides a WLTP range between 678 and 805 km, and supports fast charging at up to 400 kW, adding 372 km of range in just 10 minutes, or charging from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes. The vehicle also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging for external devices.
Abu Ghali Motors Launches Linktour Dealership and Alumi EV
Abu Ghali Motors has announced the launch of a new car dealership in Egypt for the first time — Linktour, specializing in compact electric vehicles. The company will reveal the dealer network, service centers, and after-sales support for these vehicles in the Egyptian market. Linktour focuses on small cars like the Alumi, which utilizes sustainable technologies through a recycled aluminum chain, significantly reducing environmental impact while enhancing safety and performance.
The Alumi is available in two variants: L6e and L7e, based on the company's unique design philosophy. The models feature distinctive designs with multiple color and trim options. This move aligns with Egypt's growing trend toward eco-friendly electric vehicles, meeting urban mobility needs efficiently and sustainably.
