US Dollar Exchange Rate Stabilizes at EGP 50.55 for Sale in Major Banks During Midday Trading
The US dollar exchange rate against the Egyptian pound witnessed a state of relative stability during midday trading on Thursday, within five major banks operating in the local market. This movement comes amid close monitoring by currency market participants for any potential changes in the American currency in the coming period.
Exchange Rate Details in Key Banks
The dollar rate at the National Bank of Egypt stabilized at EGP 50.45 for buying and EGP 50.55 for selling, matching the same levels recorded at Banque Misr, where the buying price reached EGP 50.45 and the selling price stood at EGP 50.55. Similarly, the Bank of Alexandria saw identical rates, with the buying price at EGP 50.45 and the selling price at EGP 50.55.
Other Banks Follow the Same Trend
At the Commercial International Bank CIB, the dollar also traded at EGP 50.45 for buying and EGP 50.55 for selling. In the same vein, the Bank of Cairo reported the same figures, keeping the exchange rate uniform across all major banks during midday trading. This stability follows periods of fluctuations in the foreign exchange market, indicating a temporary equilibrium between supply and demand for the greenback.
Market participants are closely watching for any potential moves, especially amid ongoing global and local economic pressures that could impact the dollar's value in the coming days. The Central Bank of Egypt remains the primary source of any changes in monetary policy, making it a focal point for both investors and citizens alike.
