Italy's capital, Rome, experienced violent weather conditions that caused widespread disruption after a tornado-like storm hit the city, accompanied by heavy rains that uprooted trees and disrupted traffic in several areas.

According to Italian news agency 'AnsaMed', strong winds tore down a kiosk inside a market, which then crashed into a parked car. Emergency teams rushed to clear trees and debris from major roads.

Neighborhoods including Nomentano, Salario, and Parioli faced extensive flooding, with water covering streets and causing near-total traffic paralysis. Some cars were nearly submerged due to rising water levels.

The severe weather was not limited to the capital, as several other regions across Italy experienced thunderstorms, heavy rain, and flooding, particularly in Friuli, Tuscany, and Lazio. Authorities are monitoring the situation and taking precautionary measures to address the aftermath of the weather conditions, according to 'AnsaMed'.

Civil protection teams and relevant authorities continue to monitor weather developments and assess the damage caused by the storm in affected areas.
