Egypt's Hajj mission, under the supervision of the Ministry of Interior, has been awarded the Silver Shield in the Saudi "Labbaytum" Award for Excellence in Services to Pilgrims, marking the first time Egypt has achieved this honor. The recognition was driven by the integrated transport system provided to Egyptian pilgrims, which played a pivotal role in the success of this year's Hajj season.

The Cabinet Media Center confirmed that the award reflects the high quality of planning and organization in transporting pilgrims from their accommodations in Mecca and Medina to the camps in Arafat and Mina. This system ensured smooth movement and easy mobility throughout all stages of Hajj, making the experience more seamless for Egyptian pilgrims.

The center noted that the mission's success was the result of close cooperation among the three specialized missions (Qur'a, Solidarity, and Tourism) and full adherence to the program's timeline. Excellence also included completing all contracts for accommodation, transport, catering, and visa issuance, as well as training staff and group leaders according to the approved training package from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and implementing a comprehensive awareness plan for pilgrims on Hajj rituals and regulations.

The center added that evaluation teams from the Labbaytum Award conducted field visits to the mission's headquarters and camps in the holy sites, meeting with Egyptian pilgrims to assess the quality of services. These teams recorded widespread praise for the smoothness of transport and mobility, as well as the efficiency of the services provided, reflecting Egypt's civilized image in serving pilgrims.

It is worth noting that the Labbaytum Award aims to raise competitiveness among service providers for pilgrims, encouraging innovation and excellence to ensure an integrated Hajj experience that meets the aspirations of pilgrims and showcases Egypt's civilized image.
