Before G7 REEV Launch: Here Are XPENG's Current Prices in the Egyptian Market
Raya Auto is preparing to launch the XPENG G7 REEV in Egypt, marking its global debut outside China. The SUV uses a range-extended electric powertrain with a gasoline generator. XPENG currently offers six models in Egypt, with the P7+ Flagship priced at EGP 2.15 million. The fully electric P7+ delivers up to 725 km of range, while the EREV version achieves a combined range of about 1,550 km.
Raya Auto, the local distributor for XPENG in Egypt, is preparing to introduce the all-new XPENG G7 REEV to the local market — marking the model's first appearance outside China. The G7 REEV slots into the mid-size SUV segment and relies on a Range-Extended Electric Vehicle powertrain that pairs an electric drive motor with a gasoline engine acting purely as a generator, delivering substantial total range without total dependence on grid charging.
Current XPENG Lineup and Official Prices in Egypt
XPENG currently fields six core models in Egypt spanning sedans, SUVs, and MPVs: the P7 NEXT, P7+, G6, G9, M03, and X9. These models target different buyer profiles, from executive sedans to family-oriented vehicles, and the pricing structure reflects that diversity.
XPENG P7+ Flagship Sedan Details
The XPENG P7+ RWD Flagship is officially priced at EGP 2,150,000. That's a significant figure for an electric sedan. The XPENG P7+ is available with two full battery-electric (BEV) powertrains — the first delivers 180 kW (241 hp), while the higher tier jumps to 230 kW (308 hp) with a driving range of up to 725 km on the CLTC cycle.
Yet the headline feature might be the EREV version. It combines a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine producing 148 hp as a range extender with a 241 hp electric motor, offering a pure electric range of 430 km and a combined total range of approximately 1,550 km. Those numbers position XPENG as a serious contender in Egypt's growing electrified vehicle segment, especially against rivals like BYD and other Chinese brands expanding their footprint.
What the G7 REEV Launch Means for the Egyptian Market
With the G7 REEV on the horizon, Raya Auto is clearly pushing deeper into the electric SUV space. Competition is heating up fast. The final pricing of the G7 REEV will likely be the deciding factor — if it lands competitively, it could shake up the segment; if not, it may remain a niche offering for early adopters who prioritize cutting-edge technology above all else.
