Soueast S06 DM Officially Launches in Egypt with Hybrid Specs and Pricing
Man East, the official local distributor of the Chinese brand Soueast in Egypt, has officially launched the all-new Soueast S06 DM for the first time in the local market. The vehicle falls under the compact SUV segment and is offered in a single trim level at a price of EGP 1,650,000. This launch positions the S06 DM as a key contender in Egypt's growing plug-in hybrid segment.
Hybrid Powertrain and Performance
The Soueast S06 DM is powered by a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor. The total system output reaches 355 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque, paired with a DHT transmission. This setup delivers strong performance while maintaining fuel efficiency, making it suitable for both city driving and longer journeys.
Interior Features and Technology
The cabin adopts a modern digital-oriented design, featuring a large central touchscreen display and a fully digital instrument cluster. Additional amenities include ambient interior lighting, leather upholstery, and electrically adjustable seats on higher trims. The vehicle supports modern connectivity features such as Bluetooth, voice control, multiple USB ports, and a multi-zone automatic climate control system to enhance passenger comfort.
Dimensions and Space
The Soueast S06 DM measures 4,616 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,690 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm. These dimensions provide a spacious interior for passengers and luggage, while the compact SUV body style ensures maneuverability in urban environments.
Safety and Driver Assistance Systems
The vehicle comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance features, including electronic stability control, anti-lock braking system (ABS), and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD). It also offers advanced driving aids such as lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and parking assistance via sensors and surround-view cameras depending on the trim. These features enhance overall safety and driving confidence in the compact hybrid SUV segment.
