SN Automotive Gears Up for Full Launch of First Locally Assembled Electric Car in Q3 2026

SN Automotive has intensified its final preparations for the launch of the first fully locally assembled electric vehicle in Egypt and the Middle East, scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. The official timeline was announced during an extensive visit by Dr. Hussein Issa, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, to the Nasr Automotive Company factories in Helwan, where he met with Yehia Abdel Halim, CEO of SN Automotive, along with several company executives.

Strategic National Partnership and Local Manufacturing

SN Automotive emerged as a strategic partnership between the leading Al-Safi Group and Nasr Automotive Company, representing an ideal model of integration between private sector efforts and state-owned industrial facilities. This partnership aims to reshape Egypt's automotive industry by maximizing the use of production assets and historical expertise, aligning with national directives to localize advanced technology and build a resilient, sustainable economy. The vehicle is being manufactured entirely at the Nasr Automotive plant in Helwan.

During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister reviewed the company's detailed plan for the electric car launch, with the presence of Engineer Mohamed El-Saadawy, Chairman of the Metallurgical Industries Holding Company, and Dr. Nabil Hammad, CEO of Nasr Automotive. Yehia Abdel Halim outlined the technical details of the company's final preparations, officially confirming the launch date for the third quarter of 2026.

Yehia Abdel Halim expressed his appreciation for the government's continuous support, emphasizing that expanding electric vehicle production reflects a forward-looking vision aligned with global transformations and strongly supports the 'Made in Egypt' brand.
