Rising Demand from Delivery Companies and Schools for Electric Cars and Buses
Engineer Mahmoud Saleh, General Manager of Global Engineering Company, confirmed that electric cars and buses are witnessing increasing demand from commercial companies, especially delivery firms and schools, amid the shift toward more efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly transportation. He explained that this growing interest stems from these companies relying on large fleets of vehicles and seeking to reduce operational and maintenance costs while keeping pace with the global transition to clean transportation.
The Role of the Commercial Transport Exhibition in Supporting Electrification
Saleh's statements came during a panel discussion moderated by journalist Hisham El-Zeini, titled: 'How Transport Car Agents Keep Up with Industry Technology Development and Diverse Customer Uses,' as part of the 'Al-Ahram Transport Cars Exhibition 2026.' The exhibition is held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, from June 18 to 20, in Hall No. (4) at the Cairo International Conference Center in Nasr City, with the participation of 9 major companies showcasing 28 brands.
Importance of Electric Vehicles in Cost Reduction
Saleh pointed out that the increased demand for electric vehicles is driven by several factors, most notably lower fuel and maintenance costs compared to traditional vehicles, in addition to growing government support for the clean transport sector. He added that delivery companies and schools are seeking more sustainable transport solutions, making electric cars and buses an ideal choice to meet their daily operational needs. The exhibition continues to strengthen its position as a specialized platform for showcasing the latest innovations in the commercial transport sector, enhancing investment opportunities, and supporting partnerships between manufacturers, brand agents, and various industry stakeholders.
