Abou Ghaly Motors Officially Launches RIDDARA Truck Brand in Egypt, Unveils RD6 Electric Pickup

Abou Ghaly Motors, the official distributor of several automotive brands in Egypt, has announced the launch of a new commercial vehicle brand in the local market. This time, the company is introducing RIDDARA, a brand dedicated to pickup trucks, marking its entry into the electric truck segment. The launch was accompanied by the unveiling of the brand's first model, the RD6 smart electric pickup.

RIDDARA RD6 Trims in Egypt

The new pickup truck is available in four distinct trims to cater to different customer needs. The lineup includes the ECON trim with two-wheel drive, the ECON trim with four-wheel drive, the AIR trim with two-wheel drive, and the top-spec Ultra trim with four-wheel drive.

RIDDARA RD6 Powertrain and Performance

The RD6 is powered by an 86 kWh electric battery pack, offering a driving range of up to 520 kilometers on a single charge. The top trims feature a four-wheel-drive system, delivering 595 Nm of torque and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Using a fast charger, the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.

RIDDARA RD6 Dimensions and Capabilities

The truck comes with a rear cargo bed capable of carrying up to 1,116 kg, with a towing capacity of 3,000 kg. Ground clearance stands at 225 mm, with a wading depth of 815 mm. The RD6 also features a V2L system with 6 kW output for powering external devices.

On the outside, the RD6 is equipped with full LED headlights and taillights, 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels, side steps, and roof load rails. Higher trims add a illuminated front emblem and an electric panoramic sunroof.

Inside the cabin, drivers will find a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 50-watt wireless charging pad. The seats are upholstered in leather with power adjustment, complemented by an air filter and automatic climate control.

Safety Systems in the RIDDARA RD6

For safety, the RD6 comes with front airbags, a rearview camera, and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems including electronic stability control, traction control, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision warning.
