Lexus RZ Electric Officially Launched in Egypt: Full Prices and Specs
Toyota Egypt, the official local distributor of the Lexus luxury brand, has announced the launch of the all-new Lexus RZ compact electric crossover in the Egyptian market for the first time. This move is part of the Japanese brand's strategy to strengthen its presence in the electric vehicle segment regionally.
Advanced Platform and Technology
The new Lexus RZ relies entirely on Japanese expertise in vehicle and battery manufacturing, utilizing the advanced e-TNGA electric platform that underpins the next generation of Toyota and Lexus EVs globally. This platform delivers high structural rigidity and optimal weight distribution.
Two Trims and Varying Power
The Lexus RZ is available in Egypt in two trims: the Executive e350 and the sporty F Sport e550. The entry-level variant produces 224 hp, focusing on comfort and efficiency, while the higher trim delivers 408 hp, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds.
The vehicle features a 77 kWh Japanese battery pack, offering a driving range of up to 508 km for the front-wheel-drive version and 450 km for the all-wheel-drive variant. It also supports fast charging, reaching 80% capacity in approximately 30 minutes.
Innovative Features and Equipment
Lexus has introduced several cutting-edge technologies in this model, including the Steer-by-Wire system with a Yoke steering wheel inspired by Formula One cars, the Interactive Manual Drive system that simulates manual gear shifting, and the DIRECT4 intelligent torque distribution system between the axles.
The cabin features a 14-inch central display, leather and Alcantara upholstery, interactive ambient lighting, and a comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistance systems.
The Lexus RZ is positioned as the most affordable model in the Japanese brand's lineup in Egypt, making it an attractive option for luxury EV enthusiasts.
