Kaiyi X7 PHEV 2026 Price Drops by EGP 50,000 in Egypt
Kaiyi Motors Egypt has announced a significant price reduction on the plug-in hybrid X7 PHEV 2026 model, cutting EGP 50,000 from its previous price during June. This move aims to strengthen the Chinese brand's presence in the Egyptian automotive market, which is seeing growing demand for hybrid and electric vehicles.
Kaiyi X7 PHEV Price After the Reduction
According to the updated price list from the local dealer, the new Kaiyi X7 PHEV is now priced at EGP 1,599,900, down from EGP 1,649,900. This reduction makes the SUV more competitive in the local hybrid SUV segment, especially given its advanced technical specifications.
Hybrid Powertrain and Performance
The Kaiyi X7 features a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 362 horsepower. The vehicle offers an all-electric range of up to 105 km under the NEDC standard, accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in under 3.2 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 180 km/h. Average fuel consumption stands at 5.2 liters per 100 km, reflecting exceptional energy efficiency.
Battery and Charging Specifications
The battery pack has a capacity of 18.67 kWh and uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry. It supports fast charging from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with V2L (vehicle-to-load) technology, allowing it to serve as an external power source for electrical devices—a practical feature for long trips or emergencies.
Interior Features and Design
The cabin of the Kaiyi X7 PHEV comes with Nappa leather seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 15.6-inch central infotainment screen supporting modern connectivity. Other features include a 6-speaker audio system, panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable seats, and multiple driving modes to suit various conditions.
Dimensions and Interior Space
Built on a 2,800 mm wheelbase, the Kaiyi X7 offers generous interior space for passengers. Its exterior dimensions give it a commanding road presence: 4,710 mm in length, 1,955 mm in width, and 1,705 mm in height. Ground clearance is 159 mm for the five-seat variant, enhancing its ability to handle rough roads.
Safety Systems
While some advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) features are not available on the base trim, the vehicle is equipped with curtain airbags to protect occupants in side-impact collisions. These safety features, combined with a rigid body structure designed for impact absorption, provide a solid level of protection.
