Kaiyi Motors Egypt is preparing to introduce its first fully electric vehicle to the Egyptian market in the coming period. The upcoming model, named e-Qute 04, marks the company's entry into the electric vehicle segment in the country.

Expansion into Electric Mobility

Mohamed Farag, President of Kaiyi, revealed that the new car is part of the company's broader strategy to expand its electric vehicle lineup in Egypt, following the strong market reception of the hybrid X7 model. He confirmed that the company is finalizing import details with the Chinese side before the local launch, with efforts focused on tailoring the vehicle's specifications to suit the Egyptian market.

Compact City Car Design

The e-Qute 04 is positioned as a compact city car, featuring a space-efficient design ideal for urban driving. It measures 3.7 meters in length, 1.7 meters in width, and rides on a wheelbase of approximately 2.5 meters, making it well-suited for navigating congested streets and tight parking spaces.

Powertrain and Electric Range

The vehicle is powered by a single electric motor delivering between 54 and 74 horsepower, with a peak torque of 110 Nm. It uses front-wheel drive and is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack available in capacities up to 40 kWh. According to the Chinese test cycle, the e-Qute 04 offers a driving range of approximately 410 kilometers on a full charge.

Fast Charging and Safety Features

The battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in about half an hour using a fast charger. On the safety front, the e-Qute 04 comes equipped with front airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), electronic stability control, and tire pressure monitoring, ensuring a secure driving experience.
