A quarter-century after one of the most iconic SUVs hit the roads, the Hummer name is being revived through a limited electric edition called the Hummer EV Icon | 25. Produced by General Motors under its GMC brand, the new model draws its visual identity from the first-generation Hummer H2, blending bold aesthetics with cutting-edge electric technology.

A 25th Anniversary Tribute

The special edition is part of the 2027 model lineup and will be offered in both pickup and SUV body styles, across two trims: 2X and 3X. Production is scheduled to begin later in 2026, with limited units reaching the U.S. and Canadian markets at the start of 2027. Despite the official reveal, the company has yet to announce the final pricing for this exclusive variant.

An Iconic Paint Job That Redefines the Legacy

The most striking feature is the exterior Yellow paint, officially named ICON Yellow, directly inspired by the color that defined the H2 in the early 2000s. That shade helped transform Hummer from a military-derived name into a mainstream symbol of power and bold design. The look is sharpened by black accents, including a black front skid plate, 22-inch dark-finish wheels, and a special spare tire cover on the SUV version.

Inside, each vehicle comes with a serialized badge marking its limited-edition status. The infotainment screen features unique graphics inspired by classic Hummer models, alongside an exclusive 25th-anniversary keepsake.

These include four-wheel steering, CrabWalk mode—which allows the wheels to move at the same angle for easier navigation in tight spots—and King Crab mode, which increases rear-wheel steering angles for exceptional maneuverability.
