Ferrari Reveals First All-Electric 4-Door Model Starting at 30 Million EGP
Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari has unveiled its first fully electric vehicle in the company's history, marking a radical shift for the brand long synonymous with powerful combustion engines and distinctive exhaust notes. Unlike traditional Ferrari sports cars with two seats, the new model features a more practical four-door, five-seat layout, positioning it as a luxury multi-purpose vehicle while retaining the sporty DNA that defines the Italian marque.
Ferrari Electric Car Pricing in Egypt
The new Ferrari EV is priced from approximately €550,000, equivalent to around EGP 30.9 million based on an estimated exchange rate of EGP 56.2 per euro, excluding any additional customs duties, taxes, or import fees. With this price point, Ferrari officially enters the luxury electric vehicle race, joining major global automakers in developing high-performance electric models that meet evolving market demands and the accelerating shift toward clean mobility technologies.
Performance Worthy of the Prancing Horse
The electric Ferrari is expected to feature an advanced electric powertrain delivering performance worthy of the brand, incorporating modern technologies aimed at preserving driving enjoyment despite the absence of the traditional engine that has long been central to Ferrari's identity. The company is working to retain some of the emotional experience that its cars are famous for, developing technologies that give the driver a unique sensation behind the wheel, consistent with the brand's sporting character.
The Challenge of Going Electric
The launch comes at a time when luxury carmakers face a significant challenge in persuading their customers to switch to electric vehicles, especially since much of the appeal of these brands has long been tied to engine sound and conventional driving experience. Despite the debate surrounding Ferrari's entry into the fully electric segment, the company is betting that the new model will help it reach a new customer base, particularly in markets experiencing rapid growth in luxury electric vehicle adoption.
The new electric Ferrari is set to open a different chapter in the company's history, blending its sporting performance heritage with the transition toward electric mobility, without sacrificing the luxury and distinction that have long been associated with the Italian brand. This model will serve as a true test of Ferrari's ability to maintain its sporting identity in the electric era.
