Egypt Seeks French Expertise to Boost Electric Vehicle and Transport Manufacturing
Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), held extensive talks with the head of the French Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, in the presence of representatives from the chamber's industry committee. The discussions focused on enhancing joint cooperation in manufacturing processes and promising investments across various industrial sectors.
Increasing Local Component Ratio
During the talks, the AOI reaffirmed its commitment to increasing the local component ratio as part of its strategy to localize technology and continuously advance manufacturing mechanisms. This initiative aims to strengthen domestic production capabilities.
Leveraging French Expertise in Electric Vehicles
Both sides explored ways to leverage the AOI's advanced manufacturing capabilities alongside France's extensive expertise in electronics, information and communications technology, artificial intelligence, electric vehicle manufacturing, transportation, renewable energy, infrastructure, and various other industrial fields.
Anticipated Cooperation with Major French Companies
The AOI seeks to establish partnerships with major French companies across multiple industries, particularly in automotive manufacturing. These partnerships aim to contribute to developmental projects, meet local market demand with globally competitive products at affordable prices, and open new export channels.
Invitation to Visit AOI Factories
The AOI welcomed visits from major French investors and companies to its factories and facilities, allowing them to observe the organization's distinguished manufacturing capabilities and explore ways to strengthen partnerships in areas of mutual interest.
