BYD M9 Arrives in Egypt with Two Trims, Starting at EGP 3.3 Million
BYD has officially introduced the new BYD M9 in Egypt through its local distributor, Man Dream. Equipped with DM-i hybrid technology, the model is offered in two variants and enters the market as a premium plug-in hybrid MPV.
BYD M9 Pricing in Egypt
The BYD M9 DM-i is available in two trim levels. The entry-level version is priced at EGP 3.3 million, while the higher-spec variant is offered at EGP 3.85 million.
Powertrain and Performance
The BYD M9 combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a front-mounted electric motor. The hybrid system delivers a combined output of 275 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.
The MPV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and offers a driving range exceeding 1,000 km. Battery capacities range from 20.39 kWh to 36.6 kWh, providing an electric-only range of between 100 km and 218 km.
Dimensions
The BYD M9 measures 5,145 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,805 mm in height, while the wheelbase extends to 3,045 mm.
Safety and Driver Assistance Features
Safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assistance. The higher trim level also offers selected autonomous driving functions, although not the full suite of available technologies. These features are complemented by traditional safety systems, including multiple airbags and various braking systems.
Interior Features
Inside, the BYD M9 is equipped with a 15.6-inch central infotainment display, additional passenger screens, premium interior trim, and multi-color ambient lighting. Second-row seats feature ventilation, heating, and massage functions, while rear-seat passengers benefit from an entertainment screen. The cabin also includes an integrated refrigerator.
