Al Mansour Automotive Group in Egypt, the exclusive distributor of BYD through Man Dream company, is preparing to introduce the advanced fast-charging technology Flash Charger to the Egyptian market before the end of 2026, marking a significant step toward accelerating electric and hybrid vehicle adoption in the region.
Full Charge in Just 5 Minutes
The new Flash Charger technology enables full charging of BYD electric vehicles in just 5 minutes, closely matching the time required to fill a fuel tank in conventional cars. This breakthrough significantly enhances the ownership experience of electric vehicles by delivering unprecedented convenience and efficiency.
Advanced Infrastructure for Ultra-Fast Charging
Flash Charger relies on high-energy battery packs, ultra-high-power charging stations, specialized cables, and advanced cooling systems, combined with intelligent thermal management for batteries to ensure optimal performance and safety during repeated fast-charging cycles.
Local Manufacturing Under Study
Ankush Arora, CEO of Al Mansour Automotive Group in Egypt, emphasized that the group is leading electric mobility initiatives in the Egyptian market. The company is currently evaluating options for local manufacturing of BYD vehicles in Egypt in the near future, supporting localization strategies and strengthening the brand's competitive position in the region.
