August 3 is locked in. Al Mansour Automotive, the official MG distributor in Egypt, is preparing to unveil the new MG RX9 PHEV for the first time in the Egyptian market, expanding the brand's SUV lineup with a seven-seat plug-in hybrid model that combines strong performance with modern automotive technology. Expectations are building.

Powertrain and Performance

239 horsepower stands out. The MG RX9 PHEV is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine working alongside an electric motor as part of its plug-in hybrid system, delivering a combined output of 239 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, while multiple driving modes are available to suit different driving conditions, an electric driving range reaches 115 km, the combined hybrid range extends to 1,198 km, and energy is supplied by a 24.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery designed for the vehicle's hybrid system. The figures speak clearly.

Features and Safety Equipment

What comes with the cabin? The SUV is built with a structure made from 80% high-strength steel and offers a wide range of driver assistance technologies, including a 540-degree camera system if available in Egypt, premium cabin materials, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, and a Bose premium audio system, while the exterior features 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels along with full-width LED rear lighting and LED headlights. The equipment list is extensive.

The story continues inside. The MG RX9 PHEV includes a 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat with memory function, reclining second- and third-row seats, and a comprehensive safety package featuring ABS, EBD, Blind Spot Detection, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control, and advanced ADAS driver assistance systems, complemented by four front parking sensors and four rear parking sensors as part of the SUV's overall equipment before its official Egyptian debut on August 3. The countdown has begun.
