Aboughali Motors to Launch Chinese Galaxy Electric Vehicle Brand in Egypt on May 14
Aboughali Motors is preparing to unveil a new automotive franchise in the Egyptian market in the coming days of May, with an official announcement scheduled for May 14 introducing the Chinese Galaxy brand, part of the global Geely Auto Group, to its portfolio of represented marques.
The company will focus on delivering electric vehicles in alignment with Egypt's national initiatives and the automotive sector's shift toward eco-friendly mobility solutions. Galaxy is expected to debut its initial lineup of electric models in the local market, with industry sources anticipating the simultaneous launch of at least three vehicles, though the exact number of variants remains unconfirmed.
Galaxy Brand Origins and Evolution
Geely Auto first introduced its new luxury electric vehicle series under the Geely Galaxy name in February 2023. In March 2025, the series was officially elevated to an independent brand identity as Geely Galaxy. Additionally, LEVC products, specializing in premium electric multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs), have been integrated into Galaxy's high-quality product portfolio.
Global Sales Milestone: Over One Million Units
The Galaxy brand features a comprehensive product range including the GEOME series and MPV lineup, covering diverse segments of new energy vehicles such as sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and off-road models. By the end of June 2025, cumulative global sales of Galaxy vehicles surpassed one million units.
