US Dollar Exchange Rate Steady Against Egyptian Pound in Banks Today
The US dollar exchange rate exhibited a state of relative stability against the Egyptian pound during mid-day trading on Wednesday across several major Egyptian banks. Market participants are closely monitoring the foreign exchange market for any potential movements in the American currency in the coming period.
Dollar Rates in Egyptian Banks
At the Central Bank of Egypt, the dollar was quoted at 50.96 EGP for buying and 51.10 EGP for selling. The National Bank of Egypt recorded rates of 51.25 EGP for buying and 51.35 EGP for selling. Similarly, Banque Misr posted the dollar at 51.25 EGP for buying and 51.35 EGP for selling.
Minor Variations Across Institutions
Slight differences were observed among other banks. Suez Canal Bank set the dollar at 51.34 EGP for buying and 51.44 EGP for selling. At the Commercial International Bank (CIB), the US currency traded at 51.15 EGP for buying and 51.25 EGP for selling. These minor variations indicate a stable trading environment.
The local foreign exchange market remains under continuous observation by traders, who are anticipating any new developments that could influence the exchange rate in the days ahead. This stable performance reflects a balanced market, with the central bank maintaining a cautious monetary policy to support economic stability.
