UK Captures 48% of Egypt's Vehicle Exports in March

According to data from Egypt's Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), the country's vehicle exports across all categories reached approximately $11.20 million in March. These exports were distributed across several international markets, with the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia topping the list of importing countries, showcasing a diverse range of exported vehicles including buses, passenger cars, and commercial vehicles.

UK Leads with 48% Share

The United Kingdom ranked first with export values totaling $5.3 million, accounting for about 48.16% of Egypt's total vehicle exports for the month. This was achieved through the export of 32 buses, highlighting strong demand for Egyptian-manufactured heavy vehicles in the European market and reinforcing Egypt's position as a regional hub for vehicle manufacturing.

Saudi Arabia and Netherlands Follow

Saudi Arabia secured second place with exports valued at $1.782 million, representing 15.91% of the total, with shipments including 15 buses and one passenger car for personal use. The Netherlands came in third with exports worth $2.383 million, capturing approximately 21.2% of total exports, through the export of six buses. This underscores growing European interest in Egyptian-made vehicles.

Ireland, Ivory Coast, and Hong Kong in the List

Ireland ranked fourth with exports valued at $892,100, commanding a 7.96% market share, through the export of seven buses. Ivory Coast took fifth place with exports reaching $396,800, capturing about 3.54% of total exports, with shipments including two buses. Hong Kong came sixth with exports worth $213,200, holding an estimated 1.90% market share, through the export of one bus, reflecting the geographical diversity of Egyptian export destinations.

Sudan, Libya, and China at the Bottom

Sudan ranked seventh with exports valued at $73,900, representing 0.66% of the total, including two goods transport vehicles. Libya came eighth with exports worth $67,800, holding a 0.61% market share, through the export of passenger cars for personal use. China came last with exports totaling just $1,001, capturing approximately 0.01% of Egypt's total vehicle exports in March, with shipments including one passenger car for personal use, indicating limited expansion opportunities in the Chinese market.
