Trial Operation Begins for Phase 2 of BRT: 40 km and 15 New Stations Linking Ain Sokhna to October

The trial operation of Phase 2 of Egypt's Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project has begun, spanning 40 kilometers with 15 new stations connecting Ain Sokhna station at the Ring Road-Ain Sokhna intersection to Zewail station at the Ring Road-Dr. Ahmed Zewail axis in October City. This expansion brings the total number of stations across both phases to 31.

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly inspected the second phase of the project, emphasizing that the state places great importance on public transport projects as a key pillar for sustainable development, improving quality of life, and keeping pace with the major urban expansion in Greater Cairo and new cities. The project marks a qualitative leap in Egypt's transport system.
