Traffic Slowdown at El Nozha Entrance Due to Sinkhole Repair, Cairo Roads Mostly Clear

Cairo and Giza's main road networks experienced a mixed traffic day, with smooth flow prevailing across most major arteries and squares, while congestion concentrated at the entrance of the New Nozha district. The bottleneck is attributed to ongoing repair work following a ground sinkhole beneath the Joseph Tito bridge, prompting traffic authorities to deploy guidance units and direct motorists toward alternative routes to ease the pressure.

October Bridge and Ring Road Maintain Smooth Flow

Traffic moved steadily along the October Bridge in both directions, serving commuters from eastern Cairo heading to downtown as well as those coming from Giza toward the city center. The Ring Road also reported smooth traffic across its various sectors, alongside steady movement on the July 26 corridor. However, noticeable slowdowns were recorded on Al-Galaa Street leading to Al-Shahid Abdel Moneim Riad Square, and on Qasr Al-Aini Street toward Tahrir Square.

Breakdowns Disrupt Autostrad, Nile Corniche Sees Partial Slowdown

The Autostrad road maintained regular traffic except for two vehicle breakdowns near Sakr Quraish due to engine overheating. Traffic patrols responded promptly to manage the situation and prevent congestion from spreading. Along the Nile Corniche, traffic was relatively smooth in most sections, though vehicles slowed down in front of Maspero toward Rod El-Farag and Al-Mazalat, as well as near Al-Malek Al-Saleh area heading to Qasr Al-Aini.

Heliopolis and Nasr City: Mostly Clear with Limited Slow Zones

In the districts of Heliopolis, Nasr City, and Salah Salem, traffic conditions remained generally stable, with minor slowdowns reported in front of Abour Buildings and the Military Academy. Traffic authorities continue to monitor the situation in real time to ensure smooth mobility for all road users.

Giza: Intermittent Slowdowns Due to Construction and Metro Stations

In Giza Governorate, traffic was organized across most main axes, but vehicles experienced reduced speeds near metro stations and at Al-Remaya Square intersecting with Pyramids Street, due to ongoing construction work. Faisal Street, Giza Square, and Sphinx Square also witnessed traffic slowdowns, while smooth flow prevailed on Al-Batal Ahmed Abdel Aziz Street and Arab League Street. A slight deceleration was noted at Mustafa Mahmoud Square.

6th of October City and Sheikh Zayed Remain Congestion-Free

In 6th of October City, traffic moved smoothly along the central axis and in the Sheikh Zayed and El-Hosary areas, with no significant bottlenecks reported. Traffic departments continue their efforts to ensure driver safety and facilitate daily commuting across all major corridors.
