Major General Dr. Ayman Al-Dabaa, a road safety expert, confirmed that Egypt's road network has witnessed an unprecedented boom in recent years, and that completing traffic control systems will significantly enhance the benefits of this massive network. During his interview with the "Arabity" program, the expert stated that this infrastructure revolution is one of the nation's most important achievements, emphasizing that the next phase requires integrating safety elements to maximize returns on these huge investments.

7,200 New Kilometers Added to the Road Network

Dr. Al-Dabaa revealed that Egypt has added approximately 7,200 kilometers to its national road network, significantly improving transportation efficiency across the country. According to the expert, this massive addition has not only facilitated movement but also created a positive transformation in transport infrastructure, reducing travel times and increasing connectivity between governorates. These developments positively impact the national economy and trade movement.

Traffic Control Elements Are Essential for Safety

The road safety expert explained that the current phase requires completing the traffic control system, including expanding the installation of speed limit signs, clear road markings, and modern traffic signals. Dr. Al-Dabaa emphasized that these elements are essential components that cannot be overlooked, as they help drivers comply with traffic regulations and make correct decisions while driving, thereby raising safety levels on both new and existing roads.

Al-Dabaa added that completing this system will give the Egyptian road network added value and enhance the benefits derived from national projects implemented by the state. He pointed out that achieving integration between modern roads and traffic control elements will directly contribute to reducing accidents and achieving the highest safety rates for road users, protecting lives and property and transforming these projects into a fully integrated and effective system.
