Most of Cairo and Giza's main arteries witnessed scattered traffic congestion this morning, with traffic services deployed to ensure public safety and keep vehicles moving. Drivers were guided to alternative routes by the Traffic Operations Room.

Cairo Traffic Update

The numbers tell a clear story. Heavy volumes piled up on October Bridge, especially at its connectors. According to operations room data, the bridge saw significant delays, with slow-moving traffic on the Mokattam ramp toward Salah Salem and the Autostrad. Moving congestion also stretched along Salah Salem from Al-Azhar Park to the Ferdous Bridge.

Congestion spread across Nasr City, Heliopolis, Ain Shams. Ghamra, extending to Ramses and its intersection with El-Galaa, as well as from the Citadel to Fustat. On the Autostrad, traffic crawled from Monib to Basateen. The Nile Corniche in Maadi also slowed down until the Ring Road, alongside Kasr El-Aini Street.

The Ring Road faced heavy densities toward Monib and Maadi. On the El-Marj section, drivers arriving from the agricultural road encountered jams heading to the Peace Tunnel, with congestion continuing inside the tunnel for those coming from the provinces to Cairo. Scattered densities hit 90th Street in the Fifth Settlement for those heading from the Ring Road to Downtown, while high volumes formed on Abbas Bridge and University Bridge toward Misaha Square.

Giza Traffic Update

Giza mirrored the scene. Moving congestion appeared on Giza Street, Haram, El-Bahr El-Azam, the tourist Nile corniche. The Ring Road ramp toward Upper Egypt, El-Warraq, and Mariouteya. On Faisal Street, the Tawabek area was the worst hit, with visible slowdowns on Sudan Street until Cairo University, extending to Bulaq and Imbaba.
