Top-Selling Passenger Cars in Egypt for January 2026
The latest report from the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool provides a detailed look at vehicle sales and registrations across all categories, making it one of the most accurate indicators of the performance of Egypt's automotive market.
For January 2026, the report shows that a total of 20,122 passenger cars were licensed, representing a 7.5% decline compared to December 2025.
Top Three Passenger Car Brands in Egypt
Nissan led the market with 2,199 passenger cars sold, distributed as follows:
- Nissan Sunny — 1,670 cars
- Nissan Sentra — 366 cars
- Nissan X-Trail — 25 cars
- Nissan Juke — 50 cars
- Nissan Qashqai — 79 cars
MG ranked second with 2,066 cars sold, including:
- MG ZS — 579 cars
- MG 5 — 304 cars
- MG GT — 269 cars
- MG One — 190 cars
Hyundai secured third place with 1,651 vehicles sold, broken down by model as follows:
- Hyundai Elantra — 546 cars
- Hyundai Tucson — 470 cars
- Hyundai Accent — 234 cars

The remaining passenger car brands in Egypt ranked from fourth place onward as follows:
- Chery — 1,403 cars
- Toyota — 1,059 cars
- Jetour — 1,053 cars
- Kia — 840 cars
- Mercedes-Benz — 705 cars

- Volkswagen — 668 cars
