Top 5 Most Registered Private Cars in Egypt During June 2026 – Nissan Sunny Leads
Official data from the Egyptian Motor Insurance Union revealed the list of the most registered private passenger cars in Egypt during June 2026. According to the monthly report issued in cooperation with local authorities, a total of 18,898 vehicles received mandatory insurance certificates and were registered last month, including 13,117 models from 2026 and 5,781 from 2027.
Nissan Sunny Maintains Top Position
The Nissan Sunny continued to lead the list for the third consecutive month, with 1,748 vehicles insured and registered during June. The 2027 model year Nissan Sunny is available in three trim levels, with official prices starting from EGP 765,000 for the Base A/T variant, EGP 800,000 for the Mid A/T, while the top-spec Super Salon is priced at EGP 835,000.
Chevrolet Optra and Soueast S05 in the Next Spots
The Chevrolet Optra secured second place with 731 registered vehicles, and its 2027 model starts at EGP 764,900 for the base trim, while the higher-spec second trim costs EGP 789,900. In third place, the Soueast S05 outperformed several popular models with 654 registered vehicles. As one of the newest entrants in the Egyptian market and the most affordable model from the Chinese brand, the S05 is offered in a single Highline trim at an official price of EGP 1,070,000.
Hyundai Elantra AD and Kia Pegas Round Out the List
The Hyundai Elantra AD ranked fourth with 537 registered vehicles in June, available in several trim levels with prices starting from EGP 885,000. Finally, the Kia Pegas took fifth place with 495 registered units, remaining one of the most sought-after economy cars in the Egyptian market thanks to its competitive starting price of EGP 565,000. This list reflects the continued strong demand for affordable cars in Egypt, with budget-friendly models and basic trims dominating registration figures.
Price Range of Top Registered Cars
The report shows that the prices of the most registered cars range from EGP 565,000 to EGP 1.07 million, indicating buyers' focus on value-for-money vehicles. Nissan prices lead the list with the Sunny as the best-selling model, followed by the Chevrolet Optra which offers strong competition in the same price segment. The Egyptian market is witnessing a notable shift toward Chinese brands like Soueast, which managed to achieve solid sales figures despite being a relatively new player in the local scene.
